Robert M. "Bob" Edwards, 64, of Crawfordsville died at 6:10 a.m. Wednesday in Culver Hospital. Mr. Edwards was a retired ironworker. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a member of the Wesley Chapel.

He was born March 11, 1925 in Montgomery County to Leonard and Carolyn Kay Humphrey Edwards. After his father's death, he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Harry A. Fruits. He first married Virginia Graves and married N. Rose Lewis June 24, 1967 at Wesley Chapel.  She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Michael Robert Edwards of Linden; five daughter, Phyullis Marie Gibson of ladoga; Nancy Lou Kendricks of Crawfordsville; Andrew Gail Worrell of Reynolds; and Judith Kay Mattingly and Carla Jean Watson both of Waynetown; a stepdaughter, Dawn Marie Klien of Lyle, Wash; two brothers, Harry Lee Fruits of Crawfordsville and DOnald Joe Fruits of Waynetown; a sister, Carolyn Kay Holman of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren and one great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brother, Clarence "Ted" Edwards.  

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Thomas FUneral Home at Waynetown with Rev. Dorman WInger officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
